$2,500 Scholarship Award - - Graduate Student
The Huguenot Society of the Founders of Virginia announces its
annual scholarship awards to be presented at the National Assembly, June 2024.
WHO MAY ENTER:
Undergraduate Students OR College Graduate Students
All applicants must submit proof that they are either currently enrolled or have been
accepted to a college or university. High school seniors must send a
copy of a letter of acceptance from their college or university. Students currently enrolled in a college or university must send a copy of their latest transcript or a letter of recommendation.
WHAT TO ENTER:
An Essay
Each entrant must write an essay on the history and/or impact of the Huguenots in
Europe, Colonial America, the Colony of Virginia or the settlement at Manakintowne,
Virginia.
HOW TO ENTER:
The Undergraduate and Graduate category must be a minimum of ten (10) pages. All essays must have footnotes or endnotes and include a bibliography.

The $2500 awards will be paid directly to the individual winners for use in further education.
The Society reserves the right to first publication of the winning essays, in
the publication, The Huguenot. The author will retain all other literary rights in the
manuscript.
