About

The Huguenot Society knows that our strength lies in the memory of our French ancestors. Back in 1985, our Non-Profit Organization realized the importance of acknowledging our ancestors, tracing and documenting our lineage. Sharing that information to others with the same heritage is why we ultimately decided to launch Huguenot Society of Manakin.

This is a society of the descendants of that colony and French Protestants who came to Virginia before 1786. The society headquarters and library are located beside the Manakin Episcopal Church on the original King William Parish glebe land in Manakin Town.
